Gray Scot’s career trajectory has been marked by bold shifts and a deep-rooted passion for the arts. He began his professional life in opera, pursuing the classical genre straight out of high school.
However, after several years performing, Gray made a significant pivot, enrolling in journalism school and securing an internship with ESPN, setting his sights on a career in sports journalism.
Yet, even as his journalism career took shape, music remained a constant pull. In South Florida, he channeled that passion into forming the band Chemradery, a project that saw him share the stage with a diverse range of artists, including:
Macklemore
Third Eye Blind
Adam Lambert
Brian McKnight
Vanilla Ice
Jacquie Lee (of The Voice)
Kenny G
Fuel, and others.
In 2016, Chemradery’s debut single, “Hard As You Can,” made its U.S. radio debut, gaining a solid foothold in the indie music scene.
Now, based in Austin, TX, Gray embarks on a new phase of his career as a solo artist. His sound is an eclectic mix of Pop, Soul, Blues, and R&B, characterized by relatable lyrics and infectious melodies. As he moves into this next chapter, his music continues to evolve, offering listeners a fresh, yet familiar, voice.
His self-titled debut EP is set for release in 2025.
